The Understanding of Climate Information across Different Coastal Societies
Prof. Dr. Beate M.W. Ratter, Dr. Martin Döring, Corinna de Guttry, Diana Süsser
Duration: 2012 - 2019
This project is funded and part of Helmholtz-Verbund. The project addresses a science in society problem and its aim consists in exploring ‘climate knowledges’ in science, policy and the wider society through a case study of climate perception in two coastal regions in Germany. The aim is to provide a deeper understanding of the cultural foundations of scientific, popular and lay beliefs about climate change in coastal societies. Findings will be used to provide scientists, policy makers and stakeholders with ‘grounded evidence’ to be used and negotiated in local climate related policies and adaptation processes. REKLIM
