Janina’s presentation on “Nuclear Legacies in the Pacific”
26 January 2026
Presentation: “Nuclear Legacies in the Pacific: Between Atomic Testing, Liberation Struggles, and the Climate Crisis”
On Monday, January 26, 2026, at 6:30 PM, Janina gives a talk at the Flussschifferkirche in Hamburg.
She shares about her visit to all island nations where the colonial powers of the United States, Great Britain, and France have conducted nuclear weapons tests.
In her talk, Janina shares impressions from each stage of her journey and, above all, invites the audience into an open conversation. Together, they reflect on nuclear justice, local struggles, and broader regional questions that extended beyond the topic of nuclear weapons alone.
The event is organized by the “Pacific Network” and takes place in the seminar room on the pontoon next to the Flussschifferkirche, Hohe Brücke 2, 20459 Hamburg. Guests are warmly welcome, admission is free.
