In collaboration with the NGO "Moruroa e tātou," the "Ètārētia Porotetani Māòhi" (Protestant Church of French Polynesia), the Pacific Church Conference, and the Council for World Mission, our team member Tamatoa co-organized the third civil society conference on nuclear issues in Māʻohi Nui (French Polynesia) in 2025.

This year's conference expanded its thematic scope beyond nuclear issues to incorporate climate justice and other related topics within the Pacific context. Under the title 2025 Conference on Nuclear and Climate Justice, representatives from the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and Central Australia, alongside experts, scientists, and civil society actors from across the Pacific islands, gathered to develop informed perspectives on the region's nuclear and climate crises. Mathilde and Janina also participated in the conference, contributing to the interdisciplinary dialogue on these pressing issues.
