Second Scientific Advisory Board Meeting: Discussing the Policy Paper and Current Research

On 10 September 2026, the Scientific Advisory Board of the project "Nuclear Justice and Gender in the Sea of Islands" came together for the second time. Members joined from a range of different regions and across multiple time zones.

At the centre of the meeting was a policy paper, which we presented for discussion. The board gave us feedback that was critical, constructive and informed by many different perspectives, and it is of great value for our continued work on the paper.

The meeting also made room for current updates from the project. Mathilde Kraft and Tamatoa Tepuhiarii presented the state of their research and discussed it with the board members.

Coordinating a meeting across so many time zones takes real effort from everyone involved. Even more reason for us to be glad that our network came together with such commitment once again. We value the exchange, the connection and the shared struggle for nuclear justice.
