Salt marshes can function as important inorganic carbon stores

Researchers, with the participation of Lars Kutzbach, published the article "Minerogenic salt marshes can function as important inorganic carbon stores" in "Limnology and Oceanography". The role of soil inorganic carbon in five salt marshes on the north coast of the European Wadden Sea, one of the world's largest intertidal areas, was investigated.
