From 25.11.-28.11.2024, a joint workshop took place at the Institute of Soil Science as part of the DAAD exchange project FinNcycle with the University of Eastern Finland and hereon, Geesthacht. The focus was on the joint preparation of the two publications on microbial nitrogen (N) turnover, greenhouse gas emissions and the composition of the microbial N community at two sites in the Subarctic and Arctic. In addition to the presentation of the important results, new approaches for future cooperation in joint international projects were also intensively discussed.
