Further Possiblities for Studying Abroad

The University of Hamburg maintains central exchange programs with partner universities in Australia, Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Taiwan, the USA, and a number of countries in Eastern Europe. All UHH students—including students of Geography—can apply directly to the International Office (Abteilung Internationales) for places under the central exchange scheme.

If the available options do not include the “right” partner university, students may apply independently for a place at a university of their choice. The arrangements for an exchange as a free mover are made by the students themselves. In this case, a waiver of tuition fees cannot be guaranteed.
