Discrimination-flowchart
Dear students,
The university is a place where discrimination and power structures
should be addressed. Unfortunately, discriminatory and inappropriate
behaviour occurs here from time to time. This can manifest itself, in
the form of discrimination based on skin colour, gender, religious
affiliation, or even sexual harassment.
Incidents can occur between students or between students and staff.
Existing dependencies often make it difficult to address such
conflicts. In the worst case, this can lead to negative consequences
for the persons involved.
The following links with flowcharts provide options for reporting
incidents and points of contact for support. Depending on the
approach, steps are outlined that you can take after a discriminatory
or inappropriate incident.
I have experienced or witnessed a discriminatory/inappropriate incident. |
We hope this will encourage you to address and report discriminatory
and inappropriate incidents more frequently and to support those
affected. Only in this way can we punish misconduct and bring about
structural change at the university.
In addition, here is the University of Hamburg's anti-discrimination
policy (pdf) and information from the anti-discrimination officer.
