Application & Selection Process
Applications for study places at partner universities abroad outside Europe take place at the end of the summer semester each year and are primarily aimed at students from the second subject semester onward. After the written application, selection interviews are held with the students who have been chosen.
Students who are offered a place will be notified so that, starting in the second year of study, they can begin preparing for their year abroad both academically and through language training.
A look at our partner universities and a review of the experience reports can help you decide on a study place.
Current application deadline for departure in August/September 2027 or January/February 2028: 1 October 2026.
*An exception applies to Taiwan (NTNU). There is an earlier application phase here: 1 September 2026.
