The Department of Earth System Sciences is committed to ensuring equal participation of women and men across all staff categories.

Gender Equality Officers
In line with the University of Hamburg’s Central Office for Gender Equality, the Gender Equality Officers support the Department of Earth System Sciences in matters concerning gender equity, diversity, and the reconciliation of work, studies, and family life.

Mailing List
Networking among women requires regular exchange of information. For this purpose, there is an email distribution list that should include all female researchers of the department. The list can be used, for example, to share interesting job postings or similar information.

The gender equality mandate for technical, library, IT, and administrative staff within the Department of Earth System Sciences is carried out by the Central Gender Equality Officer for TBVP at the University of Hamburg.
