Marine geophysical course during the pandemic (September 17th-29th)
2 October 2020, by IfG
From September 17th to 29th the annual sea internship took place with the research vessel ALKOR, this year under special conditions. All participants had to go into domestic isolation six days before the trip. Only after a medical examination could the ship be boarded. Due to the limited occupancy, only four to five students could be on board at the same time, so that there had to be two changes, once in Kiel and once in Sassnitz. They were supervised by Christian Hübscher and two tutors, Tobias Häcker and Jonas Preine - an unusually high supervision ratio. This effort was easy to justify, as it ensured that the BSc studies were in accordance with the regulations.
