Antonia Kiel wins Student Award of the DGG 2024

Antonia Kiel was awarded the Student Award at this year's meeting of the German Geophysical Society (DGG) in Jena. This award recognizes outstanding students of geophysics in Germany. Ms. Kiel earned her Bachelor's degree in Geophysics/Oceanography and her Master's degree in Geophysics from the University of Hamburg, and during that time worked on a research project in the context of Cluster of Excellence CliCCS. Currently, Ms. Kiel is pursuing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Conny Hammer at our institute on the topic of "Unraveling Icequakes in Antarctica on Seismic Array Data using Machine Learning". Congratulations to Ms. Kiel!
