---
As in previous years, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and its partners are organising a camp for students of natural sciences.
This camp is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about the exciting topic of space weather.
The four-week programme includes lectures covering various aspects of the topic. In project work led by experienced staff, students' understanding is tested and their knowledge expanded and consolidated.
But in addition to the purely scientific aspect of the camp, there are also excursions and social gatherings.
The camp takes place for two weeks in Huntsville, Alabama. After that, the venue changes to Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, for another two weeks.
Flights, meals and accommodation are covered by the DLR or its partner.
Only the journey to the departure airport in Germany (Frankfurt am Main), the return journey from Berlin and the costs for the US ESTA (~$40) must be covered by the students themselves.
The camp will take place from 5 July to 2 August 2026.
The application deadline is 8 March 2026.
