Information for new students in the M.Sc. Geophysics

Please familiarise yourself with the information provided here, in particular the exam and subject-specific regulations, as well as the module catalogue.

The examination regulations stipulate that students are obliged to take part in subject counselling during the introductory phase. The counselling for new students who take up their studies in the winter semester 2025 will take place on Monday, 12 October 2026, at 16 hrs. in room MIN-F SemRm 5.2. If you cannot attend in presence, please contact Claudia Vanelle for a zoom link. Contents of this meeting are, among others,

  • Introduction to the M.Sc. programme Geophysics – mandatory for all new students in the programme!
  • Introduction to the STiNE system – mandatory for all news students who have not obtained their Bachelor's degree at UHH.

We recommend that new students, who are not yet familiar with the programme and the STiNE system, register for courses only after this introduction.
